def milch(tech):

A TUM student tech club: projects, hackathons, speakers, and a bridge to the Munich and Ukrainian tech and defence-tech ecosystems.

what we do

Build, compete, debate, connect.

Four things we do, starting with our first semester.
  • 01

    Projects

Hands-on ML/CV, hardware, drones and humanitarian tech, built by small student teams.

  • 02

    Hackathons

We send teams to hackathons, for example defence-tech hackathons, and plan our own mini-hackathon.

  • 03

    Talks & debates

The def milch(tech): talks series with founders, engineers and researchers.

  • 04

    Network

A bridge between TUM students, Munich startups and the Ukrainian tech and defence-tech ecosystem.

projects

Project ideas

Engineering problems with a humanitarian edge. These are ideas and early research, not finished products.
  • P-01Idea

Predicting landmine risk from 3D terrain scans

An ML model estimates the probability that an area is mined from a drone 3D scan plus geodata, to prioritise humanitarian demining.

    • Hardware
  • P-03Idea

    Operating without radio links

An autonomous platform for radio-denied environments: onboard AI, optical navigation and directional laser communication.
